A Thoughtful Guided Process
Crafted through years of experience, our process provides structure without rigidity; allowing creativity, clarity, and calm to guide each phase.
I. Pre-Design: Establishing the Foundation
Discovery Call: We begin with a complimentary discovery call to understand you, your home, your goals, and how you envision living in the space. This conversation allows us to determine alignment and ensure our approach is the right fit for your project.
In-Person Design Consultation: During a two-hour on-site consultation, we explore your vision in depth. We review your lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and any design challenges, while surveying the space, taking measurements, and documenting existing conditions. We discuss budgets, timelines, and priorities, and begin shaping ideas that are tailored specifically to how your family lives—now and into the future.
II. Design Development: Composing the Space
Customized Proposal: Based on the initial scope of work, we prepare a detailed, customized proposal. Once the retainer is received, we move seamlessly into design development.
Design presentation: We present fully developed design concepts, including space planning, layouts, color palettes, mood boards, and material selections. Physical samples may be included when appropriate. Larger projects may be thoughtfully phased to allow for clarity and intentional decision-making at each stage.
Large projects may require phased presentations.
Detailed Design Package: Following approvals, we prepare a comprehensive design package that includes finalized concepts, drawings, finishes, and curated product selections with specific sourcing links. This package serves as the blueprint for implementation, ensuring consistency and precision throughout the project.
III. Design Implementation & Administration: Bringing It to Life
As finishes, furniture, lighting, and custom elements are approved, we coordinate ordering, scheduling, and logistics. We manage the many moving parts behind the scenes—tracking deliveries, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum—so the process feels calm and controlled for you.
For smaller, non-custom projects, clients may choose to order directly from provided links, with our support as needed. For larger or custom homes, we collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and trusted trade partners to ensure a cohesive, well-orchestrated result from construction through completion.
Our role is flexible: we can be as hands-on or as streamlined as your project requires, always acting as a steady guide through each transition.
